Thermal Mass Flowmeter - ATMF8000 Inline Series

SMC inline mass Flowmeters are thermal dispersion type, utilizing the constant temperature difference method of measuring Gas Mass
Flow Rate. It contains two reference grade platinum RTD sensors clad in a protective 316 SS sheath. Features include direct mass flow for
gases, wide rangeability, low pressure drop, very low end sensitivity, and no moving parts. The SMC ATMF series is microprocessor based
and does not have any potentiometers. Electronics can be Integral Style, or remote mount with rugged windowed dual compartment
enclosure with local or remote display. Four models are available ranging from the low cost blind meters to the more advanced SP models.
Calibration Self Check: Each meter has built in diagnostics - a display of the calibration mill watts (mw) can be used to check the sensor’s
operation by being compared to the original reported “zero flow” value noted on meter’s Certificate of Conformance (last few lines) and
metallic tag. This convenient field diagnostic procedure verifies that the original factory calibration hasn’t drifted, shifted, or changed. This
“Sensor Functionality and Zero Self Check” also verifies that the sensor is free from contamination, even without inspection.

  • Portable Insertion Thermal Mass Flowmeter Series ATMF PRISM

    The SMC ATMF-PRISM is a portable thermal dispersion flowmeter, utilizing the constant temperature difference method of measuring gas mass
    flow rate. The SMC Prism is the newest innovation in our product line, providing a portable battery operated thermal mass meter with extensive
    data logging capability. Designed to operate for up to 10 hours on a built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, the insertion style portable ATMF
    -PRISM can measure and log gas flows through existing ports in pipes 2" and larger. The ergonomically designed Prism Portable can log in AUTO
    LOGGING Mode or MANUAL LOGGING Mode. AUTO Mode will capture a Flow data point every 10 seconds. MANUAL Mode will capture a Flow
    data point each time the SEL button is pressed and the display will flash as each point is captured. The data is stored in the portable unit for
    subsequent transferring to a file, and also displays the data visually. The ATMF-PRISM comes with software, an addresser, as well as an
    interconnect cable to handle all data transfers between the portable unit and a computer. The cable connection is made via a Mini-USB port. The
    ATMF Prism can be set up for up to 16 different calibrations or applications.

  • Thermal Flow & Level Switch - ALTS

    SmartmeasurementTM ALTS thermal switch represents the State-of-the-art in gas or liquid flow switching or liquid level controls. The ALTS
    provides the highest quality flow and level detection by using a high-resolution thermal differential technique. The sensor consists of a pair
    of matched Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD’s). One RTD is using a self-heated constant DC current. The other RTD is unheated
    and provides an accurate process temperature reference. The thermal differential created between the reference and the heated RTD pair is a
    function of the density and/or velocity of the media with which the sensor is in contact. The sensor and wetted parts are of durable 316L stainless
    steel, all welded construction with no moving parts. The switch is easy to install and adjust, giving reliable, low maintenance performance
    in the most demanding applications.
